How to Use Lasso Tool in Photoshop?

Lasso Tool in Photoshop is used for photo selection, if you have selected the photo whether it is Lasso Tool or Magic Wend Tool, then you can work only on that selected area. Like to fill color or apply any effect, copying or deleting.

Today I will tell you about all the types of Lasso Tool, what is their work, how can they use them, I will tell you all these things in this post today. So first of all you click on Lasso Tool. This will select By default Rectangular Lasso Tool. And as soon as the tool is selected, the options of the property bar above will be enabled.

First of all, in this, I will tell you options 1,2,3,4 and options work the same on all selection tools, whether it is the Marquee, Lasso, or Magic Tool.

  1. This is the option of “New Selection” as if you have selected the photo as rectangular, if you click on the photo again, then the selection which was selected earlier will be removed and a new selection will be made.
  2. This is "Add To Selection" if you have selected the photo from anywhere, then you want it to be selected and add more to it, then first click on this option, then you can select as many times as you want.
  3. This is "Subtract From Selection". If you have selected more by mistake, you want to remove something in it, then by clicking on this option, the place from where you want to remove the selection will be removed.
  4. This is “Intersect With Selection”, adding and subtracting is done, but with this option, you will both work, like you selected the photo, now you have to select the middle of them, then by clicking on this option, you can select the middle part of them.

How to Use Lasso Tool in Photoshop?




When you click on Lasso Tool you will get only Simple Lasso Tool in Photoshop, but if you right-click on Lasso Tool then you will get 2 more tools.
  1. Lasso Tool: With the Lasso Tool in Photoshop, you can select freely like a pencil, from where you start by clicking and the area where you leave will be automatically selected.
  2. Polygonal Lasso Tool: Click and release it once with the Polygonal Lasso Tool Photoshop, it will start selecting, then click next, you can select it to point. If it is clicked by mistake, then press the delete key to go back from that point. To select, click on the same point from where you started.
  3. Magnetic Lasso Tool: The Magnetic Lasso Tool Photoshop works according to the color, from where you want to select, click on it and leave it, now keep moving the cursor from where the Select Polygonal Tool is, you try to do your work with the same. Once your hand If set on the Polygonal Tool, then you will be able to do photo cutting very well.
